June wss my favourite person to work with at the Lady Nuffield Home. She was warm, kind and funny. Always laughing and good fun. One evening she told me about her first child Steven, who died on ‘his motorbike, just after his eighteenth birthday. She told me the hearbreak of it. How happy she had been before with her three sons and her daughter. How she tried in time to recover and one day her daughter said ‘Mummy youre not like a witch anymore. ‘ Then I told her about my mum who died  when I was fifteen. I told her how I felt guilty because I had been moody and not very nice to mum, shortly before she died. June said ‘But she would have understood. She would have known. You were a teenager.’ 
June was wonderful. Such a lovely lady.
